Directions by road:
From the South
From England, Edinburgh or Glasgow follow signs for PERTH, then the A9 north for INVERNESS. After approximately 65 miles, go past the right hand turn for AVIEMORE. About 3 miles further north turn right onto the A95 for CARRBRIDGE and GRANTOWN ON SPEY. Stay on the A95, passing turnoffs for CARRBRIDGE on the left then BOAT OF GARTEN and later NETHY BRIDGE on the right. Watch for a sign for SPEYSIDE HEATHER CENTRE on the left. Ignore this turning and continue along the dead straight section of the A95 for about 2 miles until you see a left turn for DULNAIN BRIDGE. Once in the village go accross the yellow box junction and over the bridge to the T junction with the Post Office directly in front of you. Turn left, and Muckrach is about 300 metres on the right.
From the North
Travel south on the A9 from INVERNESS towards PERTH. After about 20 miles you crest the SLOCHD summit. Turn Left onto the A938 for CARRBRIDGE. Continue straight through CARRBRIDGE, and head for GRANTOWN ON SPEY. After about 5 miles Muckrach is on your left, just after the small white castle.
From the East
From Aberdeen take the A96 towards HUNTLY and KEITH. In KEITH take the A95 for ABERLOUR and GRANTOWN ON SPEY. Once at GRANTOWN turn left on the A95 for AVIEMORE/PERTH. After about 2.5 miles turn right for DULNAIN BRIDGE. Pass through the village, and Muckrach is about 300 metres on the right.
From the West
There is no direct route to Muckrach from the west. You can either come via Fort William and Newtonmore, then north on the A9 to AVIEMORE, or via INVERNESS and south on the A9 to CARRBRIDGE.
