Muckrach Lodge was built to provide facilities for sportsmen and women, and this tradition continues at the hotel today. We pride ourselves on our long association with many of the local estates, who look to us to provide first class accommodation and facilities to their clients. Our chef is always ready to prepare your game or fish for you to enjoy in the restaurant.
We can arrange day fishing on rivers and lochs during season. Deer stalking can also be arranged given enough notice. We can organise tee times at our famous local golf courses of Grantown, Carrbridge, Boat of Garten and Nairn.
We offer a large range of packed lunch and field lunch options for those who are outdoors for the day.
Muckrach Packed Lunches
Packed lunches for walkers, stalkers, fishers and shooters are always available at Muckrach. We can provide anything you like, extending our warm, friendly and stylish service to you even whilst you're away from the hotel.
Our picnic luncheons can be tailored to your exact requirements. A few examples are highlighted below. As you can see they range from a simple packed lunch to a full service open air meal - and a very "Gosford Park" event!
Hiker: Assorted sandwiches, crisps, muesli bars and a piece of fruit. A choice of flasked tea, hot chocolate, coffee or chilled pouched drinks. Some fresh wipes to clean up with. From £10 per person
Ghillie: Home made pies and pasties with condiments, crisp freshly prepared salad, home made bread fresh, fruit and a choice of pudding. Flasked tea, hot chocolate, coffee, pouched drinks. Napkins and fresh wipes. From £17 per person
Fisherman: Smoked salmon, cured meats, smoked venison. Sliced chicken or fish terrines. Salads of rice or pasta or potato. Fresh green salads with separate dressing. Muckrach's own oven baked bread. Fruit salads, cheesecake and a choice of pudding. Packed in a beautiful picnic hamper with linen napkins and silver cutlery. From £29 per personShooting party: As the Fisherman but served at a pre-arranged time and location by our own staff under a gazebo or in a hut if available, with properly laid tables, chairs, cutlery, china and glassware. Tea, soup and coffee is served in chinaware. From £55 per person, minimum 8 people.
We can of course also provide a full range of beverages from our bar, and we have a full and extensive wine list.
