Christmas Party Selection Menu 2009


Coarse game pate with local treacle cured bacon, toasted own made bread
Pan seared pigeon breast, curried puy lentils, cucumber raita
Homemade pumpkin tagliatele, Scottish langoustines and langoustine bisque
Local haggis, black and white pudding, whisky sauce
Hot smoked salmon, smoked salmon, salmon egg caviar, lemon puree

Mint sorbet

Slowly braised local topside of beef marinaded in red wine and brandy,
duck fat roasted potatoes,  broccoli spears and fine beans

Pan seared and then slowly Madeira braised Moray pork, crushed Muckrach pink fir apple potatoes, roasted vegetables and apple coulis

Lightly grilled fillet of Scrabster landed Cod, lemon scented white wine broth, creamed leeks, saffron rice timbale

Wild mushroom risotto, herb leaves and parmesan shavings

Carved free range turkey, chipolata sausage, nutmeg Brussels sprouts, apricot and chestnut stuffing, roast potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce

Our own made Christmas pudding, cream and brandy butter
Dark chocolate and milk chocolate tart, white chocolate ice cream and Bailys sauce
Lemon trifle with Limoncelo, lemon drizzle cake, lemon curd ice cream
A selection of sorbets

£35 - £45 per head to include ½ bottle of wine per person
